Aperol, Lillet Wild Berry, Mojito – while delicious, these summer drinks are outdated. You are having friends over on a hot summer day and you want to serve them something original? Then the ‘Vermouth-berry-Spritz’ is for you. It is easy, frizzy and refreshing Cocktail based on rosé Vermouth.
This recipe is easy, quick and does not require a lot of ingredients. It celebrates the taste of Vermouth and will therefore taste different depending which Vermouth is used. Its a fresh, summary, mediterranean drink which your friends will not have tried before.
Here in Spain the red Vermouth is a very traditional drink. Lately the less traditional rosé vermouth and white vermouth have also gained popularity, especially in the cocktail area.
The Ingredients:
- Vermouth: I am choosing the rosé Vermouth from ‘La Madre’ from Batea, Tarragona Province (Catalonia, Spain). In case you do not find an option in your super market you can always buy some from the internet. If there is a Vermouth that is produced in your region, then you can go for that one. Guests usually really appreciate a local touch to their food and drinks.
- Ice
- Sparkling Wine
- Frozen berries
- Rosemary (fresh)
- Sparkling water
